Hi UC
This is aggravating for you. I have attached a link to the government website about complaining to the DWP www.gov.uk/government/organisations/depa...complaints-procedure

Contact your local MP. I find that usually works best.

Thank you everyone!
I did indeed contact my MP, who swiftly intervened on my behalf!
This resulted in a rather curt letter from DWP (which clearly demonstrated that they regarded me as being a nuisance)!
Unfortunately, the non standard DWP letter only served to provide calculations that were applied to establish my weekly ESA payments and failed to tell me the amount of ‘extra money coming in’ that was verbally advised in one of my telephone calls to them.
I have established myself that a small weekly increase of £5.88 in a private pension has resulted in £10.16 a week reduction in my ESA payments.
In with one hand, out with the other…
Thanks everyone!

Hi UC:
I'm sorry that you have been given (and then had it taken away) - how aggravating. Good on you for getting onto your MP even though you haven't actually got the outcome you wanted.

Hi Everyone,
It would appear that my notification of change of address in December 2024 has resulted in a frenzy of DWP activity with regard to my entitlement of New Style ESA, (Contribution based).
Since my change of address notification to DWP, I have received no end of postal correspondence from them advising that:
‘We have looked at your claim again following a recent change’, with the change relating to ‘A change of money coming in.’
Their latest letter dated 16/04/25 goes back to July 2022, the year that I submitted my claim for New Style ESA. (June 2022).
Each letter contains conflicting calculations and contradictory weekly allowances that simply make no sense to me!
If only DWP due diligence extended to my numerous requests for updated calculations be shared with HMRC, as they promised, but, alas, has never been fulfilled.
I received a text message from DWP dated 17/04/25 advising of receipt of my earlier email requesting correct figures be submitted to HMRC, but, as yet, this has not happened.
Their most recent calculations going back to 2022, fall short of what I actually received. However, the figures to HMRC reflect a much higher weekly amount.
Will this generate an overpayment request, which has not yet been mentioned? If so, will this be claimed via Tax codes?
Therefore, do you think that I should formally request from them up to date P60 Certificates from the year of my claim, 2022 to present?
This will allow me to communicate with HMRC myself in an attempt to establish an accurate Tax Code that will, in turn, result in me paying the correct amount of tax.
Thank you in advance!

Hi UC:
I'm sorry to hear that you are still struggling in this area. Unfortunately I can't offer you any advice about what you should do next, as this is well outside the remit of this forum.
