I have known of many people's awards just to be extended until they get round to the review, so maybe's it's best waiting until they contact you, especially with a backlog. You could always call if you want to put your mind at rest, but tbh, I don't know if they'd be aware of how long the backlog is - as it would be a guesstimate I'd imagine.
