AI now being used in pip claims was created by Minxy
Hi guys
Just read an article about AI being used in pip claims. I am very anxious as I previously applied for pip last summer, but I closed the claim due to various reasons.
I have re applied for pip and wanted to make sure that the previous Claim was closed. When I rung to check it hadn’t been, so I asked for it to be closed, explaining why. I asked if it would be used against my new claim and they said no. Now I am scared that I mentioned it that they will find it odd and will AI highlight the old claim, that differs from my new claim. I think I am getting paranoid about it all.

Hi Minxy
Even before the advent of AI the system at the DWP could tell if someone had applied for a benefit previously. Even if you have closed a claim - it won't stop them knowing that you applied before, but it doesn't matter. They won't be using it against you when you put in for a new claim. Just try to put it out of your mind.
