The details have not been finalised as they are at Green Paper stage and need to be analysed at Parliamentary committee. In the long term though everyone will have to claim PIP if they want a disability payment.

I read this on the ME Association website:
"The government intends to scrap Contributory ESA and replace it with a more general non-means tested benefit for those with enough NI credits. This would be time-limited."
So "Legacy ESA" by another name?

I have also read that this new Contributions based Benefit would mean trips to the Jobcentre for Work Related interviews with a Work Coach.
