Still waiting after change of circumstances submitted was created by Pendle
Hello all,
My details are with Social Security Scotland who sadly seem to be worse that the DWP for dealing with.
I submitted my changes to circumstances late October 2024, and finally it landed on a case managers desk this month.
I had a call on 9 April and gave the case manager some more information that they were looking for. I wasn't ready to answer the questions as I was being accompanied to a funeral but was told I had no choice, answer now or be put back in a queue to wait!
Anyway, we're now at 23 April and I have heard nothing from the Case Manager regarding any decision.
What is more distressing for me is that my conditions, which include a brain injury are worse now than they were 6 months ago!
I've tried calling Social Security Scotland, but the line drops every 13-15 minutes and the webchat advisors say they cannot give any information other than I'm in a queue.
I know you can't give me an answer either, but has someone been through this and can they say how long that it took from case manager to decision?
thanks

Hi Pendle
I'm sorry to hear that you are having such a difficult time with this. It's sad because Social Security Scotland had boasted that they could do a better job than the DWP on this.
Hopefully, one of our members can share their experience with you.

Hi, I finally got my decision letter today - 3 May. I'm going to have to ask for a redetermination and I've submitted a post on that matter.
It's very disappointing that Social Security Scotland, despite all their well meaning words are no better than the DWP for the time they are taking and the lack of attention each case.
