Migrating from esa to uc appointee was created by Harli
I’m an appointee for someone… just last week became their appointee but the person only Monday had their migration letter sent to them..
1. Do I need to contact us helpline as she got letter and im the appointee
2. When doing the up claim does the email address be in appointee email
3. The phone number and address is this in claimants address or mine
4. The bank account … it’s going into mine as appointee but do I out claimants bank account details still as they should have mine on record as I already had one payment in esa last week
5. On her old esa letters at top it states the payment of employment and support allowance is based on national insurance contribution records and any additional amount the law says you need to live on (but figures below state your income related amount is £225.45 less total income of £0.00…… is she getting contribution based ? On migration letter it states you will soon stop getting the following benefits housing benefits and income related esa? What will happen
6 will I or she need to do a claimant commitment if I’m appointee?

Sorry for all the questions im new to this appointee stuff

Hi Harli

I would contact the Citizens Advice Help to Claim service to check that your Appointeeship has been correctly registered. Their phone number is on page 2 of your Migration letter.
You should use your own phone number and email address and also your own bank account.
You will need to phone up the ESA section to check that the claim has been moved to New Style ESA.
You should be completely exempt from both Claimant Commitments.

Let me know how you get on.

David
