Help to Claim are correct in so far as a new UC claim won't have Transitional Protection because your ESA was closed. I would phone them and ask what are you expected to do for money whilst you are waiting for the Mandatory Reconsideration. If you tell me the County or City where you live I can find a DWP Area Manager to complain to.
