Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
Can't face claiming UC was created by wolfchile
I don't want to claim universal credit. It is making me too mental unwell. I have been on ESA for years. I got migration notice same time as I got my PIP review. Same time as GP decided to remove me from practice after making a complaint about not being able to access records. They shut off access to NHS so cannot access my medicla information. Couldn't provide the DWP with medicla evidence as all on the app. Hospitals won't send out letters anymore.
I rang citizens advice help to claim line three separate occasions. They were very unhelpful. Last one attempted a calculation but supervisor and herself could not manage to do a calculation after trying for a week as too complicated for them.
I am desperate and struggling to keep going. No advice services. I want to know if it is possible to claim pension credit as partner and myself are in mixed age couple. Partner was over pension age before 2019 and we were both on housing benefit. I did ask citizens advice for help but they just transferred me to DWP without saying a word. DWP pension credit line said they couldn't advise me either.

Hi wolfchile
I'm so sorry to hear of the position you're in. Unfortunately your questions are outside the remit of this forum and we aren't able to advise you.
I know what you've said about the universal credit, and I'm sorry that you feel so ill, but if you have been asked to migrate - you don't have to send in any medical letters or even provide the name of a GP. You only have to list your medical conditions.
I can't tell you about what you would receive, and you don't get told that until the process is complete.
I'm sorry that we can't advise you about pension credits. Here is the link to the government website where you can check out your eligibility. www.gov.uk/pension-credit/eligibility

From the Age UK web site.
As of 15 May 2019, mixed age couples are no longer able to choose whether they claim Universal Credit, Pension Credit or pension-age Housing Benefit.
Instead, mixed age couples can only claim Universal Credit until they both reach State Pension age.
May be worth talking to them. Age UK Advice Line on 0800 678 1602

I read that if you need to due to health problems you can ask DWP for a delay in migration. I would advise this as I am personally finding the migration stressful.
