They messaged April to confirm council rent increase which we confirmed,. They then messaged to say his transition protection had been reduced by 30 'due to his UC entitlement increasing-' by which they mean the housing component raising by 30 to cover,
This does not make any sense to us and appears wrong as they've taken his rent from his transition protection, the award does not seem to have increased. However they appear to be using standard wording so is this normal practise or should we appeal it through journal message?
I'm sorry, but your question is outside the remit of this forum. If something doesn't make sense to you - then query it in the journal or ring the UC helpline. It sounds odd to me, but I don't have any expertise in this area and can't tell you.
