Unison want to hear your views on the intended PIP cuts was created by Blueberry Owl
Active members and retired members may have already seen this but Unison are asking for your views in a survey regarding the intended PIP cuts.
You can see more at - www.unison.org.uk/
From the Unison website -
UNISON needs to hear from disabled members about how proposed changes to PIPs (Personal Independence Payments) will affect them.
The Westminster government has announced sweeping changes to how Personal Independent Payments (PIPs) are paid.
The eligibility criteria for people claiming daily living support will be tightened.
Currently, people claiming the daily living element of PIP need to score a minimum of eight points across multiple activities to reach the threshold for support.
From November 2026, people claiming the daily living element of PIP will need to score a minimum of four points in their assessment for PIP in one single activity to qualify.
This means that many disabled workers could lose the financial support which currently enables them to cover the extra costs of living with their disability and stay in employment.
UNISON is challenging these changes, but we need your help to show the government why these changes are so detrimental.
Three ways you can help:
Complete our survey about your PIP payments. If you need this survey in different formats or help completing, please contact Katrina Gilman This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
Provide detail on how these cuts will affect you in more details by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
If you are not affected by changes but know a UNISON member who is, please encourage them to complete the survey or get in touch with us.
UNISON will continue to make the case that the government should not make these changes, but it is your voices and your lived experience which will make our case stronger.
Mods - please can this be made sticky.
