My husband and I are nearing the end of our migration on to universal credit from ESA. I have to say, that so far, while it’s been far from stress-free, I do find the journal useful, and have received prompt replies. My question is, we both care for each other, and while on ESA, had two carers’ premiums. Is it true that one of us now has to claim Carer’s Allowance separately, and do I ask for it to be backdated to the date of our UC claim. Thank you.
