Has anyone had issues with their migration from esa to uc because they are on part income and part contribution based esa. My brother has just done his uc application and has been told he won’t get uc because he is still on esa. He was told that he needs to inform esa to stop payments. It’s a complete mess and he has now been told he won’t get uc for another month until they sort out the issues. Does anyone know what will happen to the transitional protection in this case? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
