Apologies, as I'm sure this has been asked but I just got the letter about migration to UC in September. Do I leave it right up until days before that date in september, or do you recommend getting it over and done with now? Is there a backlog or a wait once I apply? Are you still recommending we get in touch with citizens advice?
Yes I would recommend phoning the Citizens Advice Help to Claim service for advice. Their phone number is on page 2 of your Managed Migration letter. They have Transitional Protection calculators and can give you a prediction about future payments.
