Hi
In the process of filling in uc application form and we are a bit stuck on what to answer in the last two to do things in my partners account

My partner is part of my ESA claim so in the question "are you currently receiving employment and support allowance"
Do we tick the yes or no box?

In the caring for someone question is it worth mentioning that they have cared for me for many years or should we tick no as I have never claimed dla or pip and it seems caring for for me will have no bearing on their side of the claim?

In the previous health to do question we have listed all my partners health conditions that their ability to work
Thanks
Rik

Hi rik

Your claim is a joint one; therefore, you have to say yes to the ESA question.

If your partner cares for you, you should say yes, regardless of whether you have claimed PIP. It could have bearing eg a member this week was told they would not be required to look for work because it was accepted they cared for their partner
