Hi All,

I'm currently going through the migration for ESA support group to UC.

Everything seem to be going ok filled out form online did checks, went to jobcentre to confirm ID. They confirmed they would pay my rent every month and I would receive my UC every 2 weeks like I did my ESA, they then said they would let me know the end of june what I what be getting and start paying me on the 3rd of July.

Then today I got a message to sign into my journal it said an appointment is required to satisfy NSESA conditionality following ESA(C) TO NSESA following natural migration.

it goes on to say we have received notification from our Belfast delivery centre this morning of your naturally migrated claimants from legacy ESA to universal credit and new style ESA and that an appointment as been arrange for tomorrow, the interview will take place by phone.

Has anybody had this before I've look through the forum and haven't read anyone mentioning anything like this before.

Best Regards

Myself and others have pisted previously about unknowingly bein in receipt of CB ESA now known as New Style ESA.

If your situation is same as mine the telephone call will be what's called a claimant commitment.
If you were in support group of ESA there should be no commitments other than inform DWP of any change of circumstances.
During telephone call with ne there were no health questions or anything to try trip you up etc.
You should be paid new style ESA every 2 weeks, however this amount id deducted from UC.

Good 🤞

Hi All,

Just taken the call, apparently they are sending me out a new commitment to work, paper form, for me to sign as there is a marker on my file saying because I get pip I don't have to look for work for another 17 months, but my pip don't get reviewed until January 2029.

And the fact that my spine is shot and after an operation to stop me becoming paralyzed from the neck down and I can still hardly walk, baffles me.

I'm not aware of anyone else mentioning if this has happen to them.
The stress of all this is taxing and my heart rate must of been through the roof waiting an extra half hour for the call.

However the person on the other end did apologized for the wait and said there's nothing to worry about, then explained about the new commitment to work form.

will keep you informed.

Best Regards
