Thank you David and everyone else who posted. I am in one bed sheltered council accommodation as a disabled person, council tax band B. I think asking £90 per month from me as a single person is a lot for East Devon. I have had a letter from the council confirming they class Transitional Protection and LCWRA as income for council tax purposes. I’m more upset at the inclusion of my TP really, as this is supposed to replace the severe disability premium that is not paid as part of UC. It does feel like they are putting their hand in the pot that was fought for to protect disabled people. They cheekily made out I should be grateful my PIP isn’t included as income! I will be complaining to my councillor Thanks
