PA4 Assessment Report was created by rosalind2001
Hello
please could someone tell me when I can call the DWP and ask for a copy of my PA4 assessment report? When I spoke to the DWP after my assessment last Thursday (19 June), they told me I would have to wait 8-10 weeks for a decision, but I know I can phone up and request a copy of the PA4 report as I have read this on the forum. I hope I have this correct! Also, when I receive the PA4 report, I understand that this is not the decision maker, so if I am not awarded what I think I should receive on the PA4, I assume I will have to wait until the final decision by the DWP before I can start a MR?

Hi rosalind2001

You can have your PA4 now - and don't let the DWP tell you, you can't. If a call handler says that you have to wait - tell them you don't and if they insist ring off and make another call - and you will probably get someone who knows the system.

You can't put in an MR until you have the decision letter. The PA4 should give you an idea of what you might be awarded. 9 times out of 10 the decision maker will follow the Health Professional's recommendations - but sometimes there are differences. The Decision Maker is a non-medical person.

And rosalind2001, if you don't agree with the PA4, write ASAP to 'The Decision Maker' at the last address DWP wrote to you from. Coldly take apart wrong reports referring back to your evidence. Never say 'lied' even if they blatantly did.
If they twist eg 'Tramadol for moderate pain' you can now add references to 'the NHS says Tramadol for severe pain'
Doing this on advice from here I am convinced got a better result of max PIP for my relative without Tribunal, after two reviews that did need Tribunal to restore their max PIP.
Best wishes,
Denby
