ESA to UC migration. was created by daisy37
Hello,
Your guide says "Amongst other things we explain how to do a trial run through of the complete form".
Please could you tell me where to look in the guide to find this because because I cannot find it.
"Whilst you are setting up your online account, you will be sent codes to verify your email address and mobile phone number (if you have one). You must enter this verification code onto your UC account within one hour."
I am an appointee, will this be my email address in my name? Also my phone?
I know I will have other questions can I ask on this thread or do I need to ask further questions on new threads.
Thank you.

Hi daisy37
As an Appointee all communication with the DWP has to come to you whether by email or text.
Here is video from the DWP about completing the form. Hope this helps--

Hi, I am new to this Forum. I am appointee for my daughter and have just received her ESA to UC MIgration Notice. I have read existing posts on this but am still unclear - please can you advise? When I apply for UC as appointee for my daughter do I give put her personal details (name, address etc) but give my email address and mobile number? Like a previous member, I have been receiving ESA letters addressed to me saying the information in the letter is about my daughter. I have watched the 8 step video and it doesn't cover any detail about how to apply for UC as an appointee. Please can you clarify or signpost me?

Hi Hilary
I am not 100 % sure what you need to do.
I would contact UC helpline: 0800 328 5644/5646/9344 and ask the question, you could also contact Citizen Advice help to claim, you can contact an adviser through their free Help to Claim phone service. Advisers are available 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday:
England: 0800 144 8 444
Scotland: 0800 023 2581
Wales: 08000 241 220
Let us know how you get on.
