Confused about UC Health and DLA was created by Mumbo_Jumbo
I moved to UC a few months ago. I'm also still on CB ESA and I don't have any transitional protection. I'm also in the group of people who's still on DLA due to the freeze of migration to PIP.
Does anyone know where that leaves me with regards to UC Health? My UC has a Limited capability for work and work-related activity component. Is that UC Health or is UC Health something else? I've never been clear on this.
I've read contradictory things regarding this. One being that people with in the LCWRA group are protected and not classed as new claiments with regards to UC Health. But I've also read that people who are migrated to PIP from DLA after the cut-off date next year, will be classed as new claiments and therefore receive the reduced rate for UC Health.

Hi Mumbo_Jumbo
At the moment everything is still up in the air, there is a new vote coming up soon in Parliament which will hopefully make more sense. There will also be news in B&W newsletter about any changes.
When you moved on to UC, you were placed in the LCWRA group, your CB ESA would have moved over to NS ESA, same benefit different name, both contribution based.
As to being classed as new claimants, we do not have the details, don't believe everything you read as there is a lot of mis-information out there. I have not heard of UC Health myself, I have tried googling it but it comes up as a health hub.

Thanks Gary,
By 'UC Health', I'm referring to the health component of UC with regards to the proposed reduced rate for new claiments and (possibly) those on DLA who haven't yet transferred to PIP. As I understand it, you only get the Health component of UC if you're on PIP.
