At last, I finally worked out how to post a message. So this is my scenario, my Son came back home after living and working in Australia for last 9yrs. He applied for UC and is now in receipt of standard allowance, no rent to pay. He has numerous health conditions and recently completed LCW application. After contacting DWP to ask why he has not received any decision, he was informed they have “ not received” his form. However they could tell him he is not eligible as he has no contributions. The new style ESA they say he is not entitled to. Can someone advise me what he needs to do ? He is getting deductions from his UC for “ overpayment of benefits” dating back 10years. I have medical evidence of his health conditions which I enclosed with his UC50 form. Strange why they say he is not entitled to LCW ( no application received ), but could list to him his health conditions. Any help or guidance would be much appreciated .
I'm sorry, but your question is outside the remit of this forum, and you need to speak to a specialist welfare advisor who can look at your son's whole case and advise him accordingly. I've included a link to see if you can find one in your area. advicelocal.uk/
