I did start a thread yesterday about failing our telephone ID. Apparently we didnt fail it, but the computor insists on face to face ID as well.
Can anyone make sense of this?
We did online ID which we must have passed but a telephone call was needed, to go through the stress of the call yesterday to pass again but have to have a home DWP ID visit.
As anyone else gone through this? The stress building up to the call yesterday was awful, my anxiety was awful. To pass it be further ID needed. Surely this goes against the rules? We are mentalily drained. Have no idea when this visit will be, will only have 2 more wks of ESA & then nothing till this home visit.
Is there anything legally I can do about this? I have already updated my MP.
Has anyone else gone through 3 lots of ID proof, online, telephone & home?
I feel at this stage I want a 3rd party present as I've lost all trust & faith in this
Unfortunately it doesn't go against any 'rules'. The DWP has the right to verify the IDs of claimants, and they have the right to do it in almost any way they can. Some people, like yourselves, have been unlucky because the system hasn't always worked as it should. As a result, they seem to fail a couple of the methods and end up with a home visit. There is nothing 'legally' that you can do about this. You have already updated your MP and unless they intervene I don't think there is anything you can do.
