Hello. I'm migrating to UC & having difficulty with ID verification. I made a mistake in the credit history questions & being hauled in to the Job centre or having a home visit are not possible.
I have a third party attempting to assist me, however this is such a by design bewildering, hostile & unsafe system.
Could you please tell me every other possible option so that we can determine what would be appropriate to my needs & cause the least harm?
I failed the credit check questions however I now know where I inadvertently gave the wrong answer so in theory this should now work if they allow it.
I'm afraid your question is outside the remit of this forum, and is in the hands of the DWP and what they will or will not accept. If you have a third party assisting you, they need to contact the DWP on your behalf and explain your circumstances to determine what they will accept. I can't tell you what that might be, because we don't know what they do, if a claimant fails one part of the check - other than saying they normally insist on a home visit (which you have already said isn't possible).
