Applying for UC when receiving NS ESA and PIP was created by dold

Hi ,
My husband passed away recently and I was included in his claim for IR ESA. Afterwards I was converted to my own NS ESA - support group, as I had assessment for it in 2020. As I am receiving PIP I have lost all disability premiums which were paid within my husband IR ESA claim. If I apply for UC, will I need to go again for assessments for ESA or PIP, or filling out assessment' forms again. My condition has not improved. And are there disability premiums or similar extra payments in UC as in IR ESA?

Hi dold

As you are in receipt of NS ESA and in the support group, when you apply for UC you should be placed in the LCWRA group without supplying a fit note .

What can happen when you apply for UC is that DWP may soon after you apply, send you a review form.

Most claimants who received disability premiums with their ESA are worse off under UC as there are no disability premiums.
