Urgent Query re. ESA to UC Managed Migration - Extension needed

Hi,

Please can anyone advise me on requesting an extension for my ESA to UC managed migration application?

I've had a difficult time with my health recently (flare-up of long term condition) and am struggling to to get everything organised to apply for UC. (Still to open UC account).

My IR ESA (Support Group) is due to finish and I need to apply for UC by end of this month.

This morning I have been sent a text from DWP saying that they will call me in next few days.
The date/time was not given, although the phone number the call will come from was provided.

I am often not well enough for phone calls and am feeling completely overwhelmed and am concerned that I will have to apply for UC over the phone when I am not prepared.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for replying.
Haven't been well enough to check online for a couple of days, so just reading your response.

Briefly:
- DWP called 2 days ago, left message to call back.
-Called back later that day (relative called back for me, then I gave permission to speak my behalf).
-Requested extension, advised too early to grant, call back closer to deadline ( which is 31st July).

-DWP called yesterday, left message.
- DWP called today, left text message that they will be in touch to arrange home visit.

Health not good just now, needing to rest laying down, difficulty responding quickly to answer call/speak to someone (breathlessness).
Was trying to focus on getting help with form/making progress over weekend but now completely stressed.

Don't know what to do.
Would you advise requesting extension again? Worried about contacting.

My relative called DWP earlier this week to request extension to make my IR ESA to UC claim (31st July deadline). Advised to call next week as too early to grant.

Call from DWP earlier today had message that DWP will call to arrange a home visit re. UC claim

As you advised, relative called DWP back on my behalf and requested an extension.

Before could give health reasons etc. for request, DWP advised that an extension(until 28th August) has already been issued today and a letter sent out.

Not clear about the home visit - can you advise if this is likely to happen now?

Also, is this an automatic extension or related to earlier request?
If automatic extension does that affect transitional protection?
