UC anxiety was created by Jot
Hello. Firstly please accept my apologies if this has been covered before but I have been living in a cave regarding anything to do with UC.
I am exhausted after having just submitted paperwork for my PIP review and this has unfortunately come at the same time.
I have been trying to read the guides and comments on here but its slow going with my 'mush' brain. Ive also contacted UC which was less than helpful. I then contacted CAB and whilst they answered some things, they said something in passing which was played down but has left me worrying and is the reason for this long winded question;
CAB told me that approximately 3 days after I submit my form, I will recieve a phone call from UC to "go through things and I can tell them anything I feel relevant'.
My questions are as follows;
* what should I be expecting?
* I realise everyone is different, but is there an average length of time for the call?
* I have a lot of problems rembering what has been said and also very negatively over analysing. Is it possible to record the call and if so how?
Just anything you think would help me.
Many thanks

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Jot
Yes as you say everyone is different and your phone call may only last 5 minutes. That is likely to be the case if you are in the ESA Support Group. Then you only need to agree a Basic Claimant Commitment and the DWP should have no interest in talking about your health at all.
Have you received a Managed Migration letter and what Benefits if any were you in receipt of ?

Are you completing your application online or over the phone?
If you are completing it online, any questions that the UC have for you will be in your online journal. You need to check your online journal regularly so as not to miss any messages.
They would contact you by phone if your application was completed over the phone.─
You have my sympathy - UC can be extremely stressful.
