Hello I read about the above today. Went to Portugal with docs agreement to tell family she has stage 4 cancer. Got ill.there and had to stay away gor another 3 months. On her return to UK her UC was cancelled. Does anyone no more about this pls? Worrying for those with chrinic ilness who may go abroad now and then. The artice doesnt say that the woman informed UC she was leaving the UK, I wonder if that us part of the problem. She wasnt going for treatment abroad so UC said she did not meet rules for holiday time extension. Seems v mean to me.
