Online PIP submission - can you request a copy?

Hi, asking on behalf of a friend who's just discovered that once you submit your online PIP form, you can't see any more what you wrote - is there a process for requesting/demanding a copy of your submission please? It seems really important that you as the client get to keep a record of your own submission - especially given the DWP's track record with assessors just lying about what you said.

Hi Irian

As far as I know, there isn't any formal process - they expect claimants to keep a record of what they have written. Your friend can ring up and ask and see what they say. If they receive a negative response, they can put in a subject access request and ask for a copy. It could take a long time to arrive.

Hi

Yes you can request copy. Very straight forward process via tel call. Speaking from recent experience of online PIP form submission.

‼️Word of warning though the copy I received didn't have the copy 'additional statement; I submitted or list / copies of evidence received with the claim.

Hi Irian
If I remember correctly, either during or immediately after submitting the form online you are given the opportunity (just one though) to download a copy to your computer. I did that and printed a hard copy to refer to during the assessment.

Hi LittleVoice

From what Sum has posted you can download a copy of your PIP application online prior to you sending the completed form to DWP, once you press send you are not able to download a copy.
