The latest update on the UC review. And it gets worse

Yesterday I received a letter from the Glasgow office saying they had looked at our claim again from 30th July 2021 and they have changed their decision original decision from the 30th July 2021. And that I will get a letter showing an over payment since 30th July and I can't appeal it until I get the letter.

This is before UC recalculate my UC aapital where they added a mystery account adding £4000 plus to my savings that doesn't exist. They are saying we have savings over £12000 when don't and are saying we still have savings over £12000 which we don't have because somebody at the review centre duplicated an account.

Our UC has been cut by £108 a month and the letter said see reduced UC payments. I assume they will want to charge us £108 a month since 30 July 2021. Money we don't have and don't owe.

Since the 30th October I have been waiting for a recalculation of our capital.

The letter also said we had gone over the £6000 , limiter on several occasions. Yet we have always declared more than £6000 in savings.

I am sure one department of UC doesn't know what the another department of UC is doing.

How do I make a claim for compensation, because this has been caused by an error by UC and being misled on a telephone conversation because they wanted an excuse to review my whole claim since 30 July 2021.

This whole sage has been going on since February 2025 and it looks as it will go into 2026.

I have added journel entries disputing the findings and stating I waiting for recalulation of capital because a saving account was duplicated. A premium bonds account was duplicated to a bonds account. We have never held a bond account in our lives

The stress is getting too much.

Hi Onyx123

Things will only get worse with the new powers that has been brought in.

I can feel your frustration, have you been in contact with your MP for help, some MP's are quite pro-active and can sort issues out in a short time, other MP's not so active. The law centre can also be quite helpful; www.lawcentres.org.uk
