DWP Bank surveillance was created by banger
Just been reading about the new powers coming in for the DWP to look at current accounts and savings held. It mentions ESA of which there are two types Income based and Contribution based. The former is means tested but people on this benefit are being transferred over to Universal Credit and the latter are being transferred over to New-Style ESA. The report indicates DWP will be looking at ESA accounts but most of them will have already been transferred to UC so why look at NS ESA which is non means tested? I smell a rat. Am I getting this wrong ?
