Possible wrong answer PIP Assement was created by Bullet
Hello all. Apologies for the long post I have just had a telephone reassessment for PIP. Immediately after the call my son/carer pointed out that I may have accidentally gave an incorrect answer to 1 particular question. It was on my ability to pull a t-shirt on unaided. it was near the end of the assessment (at around 45 min mark), and I was very fatigued. I was under the impression that I was being asked how many days a week on average I can do this ( the answer is one), yet apparently the question was how many times a week do I need help. This report may now be at odds with my AR1 form. Immediately upon hearing this from my son, and after asking him "why didn't you point this out at the time", I called the HAAS Serco number and told them of this. He said he would send an email to the assessor, but that it would probably not get there in time. Should I also contact PIP regarding this, as now I am very worried.
Many Thanks

Hi Bullet
Welcome to the forum.
You might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is; www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants/faq/forum.
Things do happen when you are in panic mode, you need to contact DWP and ask for a copy of the assessors report called a PA4,, once you get the report go through it carefully with a highlighter, highlighting any inaccuracies , if you are quick you may be able to write to the decision maker pointing out the errors before a decision is made. Make sure in your letter you are not requesting a mandatory reconsideration but reserve the right to do so once a decision has been made.
