Replied by Nelly on topic PIP NO CHANGE AFTER REQUEST FOR REVIEW
Hi, quick update. I read the latest article 9th March with disbelief “ Claimant led WCA reassessment backlog almost cleared, Timms claims”
I’m still waiting for my assessment to be reviewed and decision made despite numerous calls.
Mp is my next step if I don’t hear this week.

Hi Nelly,
I'm sorry that you're still waiting. I hope that if you contact your MP you get some help.

Thanks, I phoned DWP again today and was told a completely different issue was preventing progress. They claimed I am receiving only ESA credit due to a gap in my employment National Insurance - There is NO gap, I worked continuously and paid NI since 1988…. The only gap I have is from ESA ending and waiting for this assessment…. It’s unbelievable… I double checked my HMRC NI record and every year shows Full contribution.
Anyone else experienced this ‘error’ I’m running out of steam so will include these notes to MP.
Thanks

Hi Nelly
How typical that something else has come up to stop it from going through. I am sorry. I hope that you get this sorted.

Hello, GOOD NEWS AT LAST, I Decided to appeal my PIP decision and I won! I’m now receiving what I should have since August last year, yes they backdated too…. Finally someone was able to see sense…..
So that is round one sorted - Round 2 I still have an open assessment for my ESA in their backlog waiting to be assessed by SERCO, despite Timms announcements on there backlogs being almost cleared…. Lies….
Does anyone know if the DWP departments are intelligent enough to realise I am on higher level disability for PIP and automatically process my ESA claim now? I called DWP today and as usual their person I spoke to was clueless and said someone would call me back (I’ve heard that too many times now, I will give them 48 hours)
Thanks for support on the PIP side, happy with that outcome.

Quick update - my pip appeal was successful - I am now being paid what I should have been paid since August last year, yes they also backdated thank goodness.
I just need to understand how that affects my open ESA CLAIM raised in Aug/sept that is still sitting with SERCO for assessment review - Timms commons statements about backlogs are lies.
Q. Do the DWP departments talk to each other? Would my newly awarded higher level for disability make a difference to the ESA CLAIM Automatically? Does the assessment still need to be reviewed no DWP have agreed to higher rate on mobility in PIP…?
I have called the DWP to ask, but they couldn’t answer, suggesting they would get someone to call me back - (heard that before sadly never happens) they have 48 hours…..
Thanks again for the help and advice received so far
