QUESTION FOR THOSE WHO HAVE HAD A “LIGHT TOUCH” PIP REVIEW

More

I have had an ongoing award for PIP since 2015 and have just come up for my first light touch review. I am already on enhanced rate for both mobility and daily living and my condition has not changed and will not improve. I have seen differing opinions online as to whether it is acceptable to just tick the no change boxes and return the form or whether evidence should also be resubmitted to accompany the form.

If anyone has gone through this process, and has returned their AR2 form with the no change boxes ticked and no evidence submitted, please could you let me know the outcome of your review. Thank you.

Hi LJ

We had one member recently who said they regretted not putting in more explanation on their form as they were suddenly sent for an assessment - so their advice was at least to explain something even if things have stayed the same.

Thank you for your response BIS.

When I had my first assessment I sent about 80 pages of additional information and evidence which the assessor was not given initially. Fortunately I had a copy of everything so, when they visited, I was able to show them and they said that there was more than enough there to do a paper based assessment and they should not have been sent.

I have ticked no change and then prepared a short statement for each of the questions to direct them to my original answers and evidence and subsequent award so hopefully that will be sufficient.

It was me, definitely add as much information as you can, please don't just put 'no change'. That is what I did and the assessment was the worse one I've had in 20+ years of doing this. My son has now lost his award so now I have to put in an MR - I think if I had put more detail they wouldn't have put it forward for an assessment.
