Appeals Mobility & Old age pension

Hi,
I had a telephone assessment & the assessor was awful, she made up things about me, made assumptions & kept me on the phone for 2 hours wearing me down. The outcome was standard daily living & stopping my mobility.
I did a mandatory reconsideration with the help of the CAB, the outcome was standard daily living & standard mobility reinstated.
The CAB had recommended I get enhanced on both.
I did an appeal, I got a notice last Aug 2025 to say they had received it.
Since then I have sent in new evidence.
My query is in Sept this year I will receive my old age pension what will happen if I havnt had my appeal by then?
will they say because I'm of pension age I cant get enhanced?
I don't know what the wait is for appeals, does any one know?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Jcb1,
No panic! Because you are disputing a decision that took place before you reach state pension age, it won't matter when the appeal hearing occurs. If you succeed and get enhanced mobility you will get back dated payment from the day that the benefit was reduced, less any standard rate already paid out.

If the appeal is unsuccessful and there is no further appeal made or possible and you have already reached SPAge, then you won't be able to increase your standard mobility award, even if your health deteriorates.
I hope this helps.
