Confusion over AR1 and AR2 forms was created by speo77
There seems conflicting information on who receives the light touch review forms. I understand the DWP can send out whatever form they like anyway but I was just after some clarification.
My award was for high mobility and high care , it says " ongoing" and " we will contact you after December 2016 while you are receiving pip to see if your needs have changed ".
The original award was for 10 years .
So is December 2016 the end date. ? Confused as the award is ongoing ?
When I had my face to face at my home, on the original assessment form the medical assessor actually wrote she seemed no point in a review in the future .

Can anyone relate to the wording on my award letter and if they received a light touch review ?
Or do any moderators have an answer on which form I can expect ?
Thankyou

Hi speo77

I assume the end date is 2026, not 2016, as you have put in your post. As you have an end date - I think they will send you an AR1 form, but I can't be certain of that and they may send you an AR2.

It was originally said that if you had an end date (even with an ongoing one), you would receive an AR1 form. If you had an ongoing and no end date, then you would receive an AR2 form.

If you have passed retirement age, you would receive an AR2. And there are a number of people whose conditions are considered severe but stable to receive an AR2.

So there are slightly muddy waters on which form you could receive, and I cannot give you a definitive answer. You can always ring the DWP and ask (though I suspect you won't want to). I do know people who have been told by assessors there is no point in a review in the future - but that is just an opinion and the DWP often ignores it.
