Disregarding cost of living payments in uc

If received in total from 22 to 24 £1,550 in cost of living payments am I correct in saying IF total money has never fallen below that sum then balance to report is X - 1550 in uc? Or where balance falls to say 1100, then it would be X - 1450 to report and so on? Never knew they were disregarded! Appreciate advise. Uc reporting is so confusing 🙄

Here is the official guidance regarding savings and the cost of living payment:-

Cost of Living Additional Payments
H1766 Where a claimant receives a Cost of Living Payment, this payment is to be ignored completely
when considering their entitlement to UC1
.
1 SS (AP) Act 22, s 8; SS (AP) Act 23, S8
H1767 Cost of Living Payments should not be considered as part of a claimant’s capital
1. during the AP they are received or
2. in any subsequent AP they remain unspent.
Note 1: A Cost of Living Payment is a payment made under the Social Security (Additional Payments)
Acts1 to support eligible households with the cost of living which were first announced by the Chancellor
in May 2022.
Note 2: Additional Cost of Living Payments2
are a new benefit which are automatically passported from
existing benefit entitlement.
