PIP backdated payment was created by craig41
I recently won my tribunal and was awarded not only extra points for daily living but I was also awarded the mobility element too. This has been backdated to 2024,so obviously I am very pleased. I received confirmation of the award but not the amount of monies on the day and it was followed up with a letter. I have had nothing in writing from the DWP after almost 4 weeks, but this morning a payment has gone into my bank from them This takes me well over the threshold for the benefits I received These being ESA CONT UC and housing benefit.
Do I need to inform these 3 departments of the monies of this payment,or is it not taken into consideration in relation to the 3 benefits I receive?

Hi Craig41

Wait until you receive the letter and have official confirmation, and then use the correct language to inform anyone else. As a back payment, it should not have any impact for 12 months. It should be clear in the letter who you need to inform.

Congratulations on your win!
