According to Citizens Advice; - from APRIL 6th 2026 UC standard allowance element went up from £400.14 to £424.90 LCWRA element went up from £423.27 to £429.80 As my last Statement and Payment were for the period 17 March 2026 to 16 April 2026 – and this includes the period 6 April to 16 April at the new rates…that is 10 days pro rata at the new increased rates…Forgive me if I have misunderstood but shouldn’t my last Statement and Payment have reflected these new increases and therefore been slightly higher than the previous months? As this was not the case, what should I do???
On your UC statement is there an amount for the Transitional Element? If so then instead of getting an overall annual UC increase the DWP have arranged for the Transitional Element to be reduced. So your UC payment stays the same overall.
