Hi Deputydawg10,
Very annoying, but nevertheless important. Make sure you are absolutely clear about your disabilities, especially any mobility needs now prior to state pension age. The reason for this is that after SP Age you can not receive a mobility award if you don't have this, or increase standard to enhanced. Please note however that if you are currently in the process of a review or doing Mandatory Reconsideration and it Appeal that goes beyond SP Age, provided the process was started before SP Age. This would include appealing a decision made just before or just after SP Age.
It is therefore really important to make sure that if you qualify for a mobility element that you get this and do MR or appeal, otherwise you will never be able to receive a mobility award. Daily Living can always be increased after SP Age.
I hope this helps
