PIP - When to update was created by JenBiddy40
Hi.
I have PIP daily living and mobility (both enhanced). I was granted in May for long term M.E. and progressive lung disease that caused me to cease work (hopefully temporarily) in December/January.

Part of my submission was that my daughter helps me with my physio therapy 5 times a week on my lungs as I have been unable to exercise due to the M.E. and without exercise my lungs get claggy and need help clearing

Unfortunately, my daughter has been unable to help with the physio recently due to exams, and is actually about to move away from home ready for an apprenticeship, which means I won't have support in this area going forwards. I am beginning to try and do literally just a few mins of exercise every 1-2 days to try and get this back so the physio would then not be required. (I can do the physio myself, but have to rest for 1.5-2hrs after.)

How do I update the PIP for this please in a way that won't cause everything else to be removed too.

Thank you.

Hi JenBiddy40

The only time you have to inform the DWP is if your health has improved. From what you've said, it hasn't. The fact that your daughter has moved away doesn't mean that you no longer need the support. What it means is that the support is no longer available. So you are going to do what you can to manage for yourself. If you are successful (and I hope you are), and if it makes a difference to the points you might be awarded, that is when you inform the DWP. Don't jump the gun and report an outcome that has yet to happen.
