Hello everyone,
My first time on here, so I hope I get this all correct.
My PIP review was due in January 2027 and I had heard nothing. As my PIP pays for my trauma therapy, I was getting really anxious about not knowing.
So, before phoning the PIP phoneline to ask, I tried one more time to find a way online and came across a Govt beta website. It is called Govt One Login where you can get proof of benefit letters for all different benefits. Not UC, but you can get it for others like Pension Credits, ESA etc. It also has State Pension proof, which I refuse to call a benefit.
I don't know if this has already been covered on here, I couldn't find it.
So, I had to create an account and I managed to do this without Photo ID, I downloaded the proof of my PIP and there was a new PIP review date! An 18 month extension. As usual, the Govt torturing us, by not giving us this information, that they could have sent me in a text.
I don't know if this will help anyone else, but it means I can stop needing to talk about ending therapy imminently with my therapist and focus on my real reason for therapy. 6 months of unnecessary worry and anxiety around finances and my healing journey.
I did check out the background to the website and the assessments of how it is doing are pretty dire, regarding roll out etc.. All to keep us in the dark.
Just to give context - I am in my early 60's with a mental health diagnosis.

Does anyone know if in my partner's situation she would get an extension?
She originally applied for PIP in 2022, and was granted standard daily living for 2 years. Before the end of her claim, she put in a change of circumstances and her conditions worsened and was then granted a 3 year award of enhanced on both until 2027.
Question: because she put in a change of circumstances, would she be given the extension, or would the change made her claim be considered a 'new' claim?

A new PIP claim is simply a new claim. While a change of circumstances is what it says it is.
The DWP has enacted legislation to allow it to extend the personal independence payment (PIP) awards of existing claimants, in order to cope with the growing backlog of planned award reviews.
The Universal Credit, Personal Independence Payment, Jobseeker’s Allowance and Employment and Support Allowance (Decisions and Appeals) (Amendment) Regulations 2026 will came into force on 2 June 2026.
So it is now possible for her PIP award to be given a 3 year extension until 2030.
You can check via the method described in healthyme's Forum post.

I checked and there's not been any extension, is that something that would have been doing for everyone straight away, or is it a roll out?
