Told I can't apply for PIP because I will be a state pensioner in September?

Thank you. I phoned to apply again, got a different call handler and they completed the application with me correctly. I have the forms and will be sending them in with all my documents very soon.

Thank you for your information.
On advice from my benefits advisor, I phoned again the same day and this time a different call handler went through the application with me correctly.
My forms have arrived and are being completed with help from my advisor. She informs me that as long as I applied before SP age my application stands from the date of application and it would be argued with reconsideration or tribunal if they declined it as the Gov. information stands by the date of application.
I'm hoping this is the case.
I put off applying for so long because the process terrifies me and makes my conditions worse. My GP and friends said I should apply, so fingers crossed that this works out well in the end.
