Hi everyone,
I have a phone assessment coming up with Maximus for a PIP paper-based review. I've been told they want to have a call with me to discuss the assessment, and I've already confirmed that I need my benefits advisor Dave to support me on a three-way call, which they've agreed to.
However, I'm not entirely sure what this preliminary call is about or what they'll want to discuss. I know Maximus and the DWP can sometimes try to catch people out, so I wanted to check with the forum before taking the call and make sure I'm prepared.
My questions are:
1. What is this preliminary call typically about? Is it just to arrange logistics, or do they ask questions about my conditions?
2. What should I do to prepare for this call? Should I have my information ready, or is it just a brief conversation?
3. Are there any tricks or tactics Maximus commonly use on these preliminary calls that I should be aware of?
4. Is there anything I should avoid saying or doing on this call?
I want to go into this prepared and not accidentally say anything that could harm my claim. Any advice would be really appreciated.
Thank you,
Liam
