As requested in most recent newsletter, I have today received my PIP extension letter. Been on DLA and the PIP for many years with a progressive form of Bulbar Muscular Atrophy (Kennedy's disease) The condition is without cure and progressive but it wasn't until 2 years ago that following the dreaded periodical telephone review I was finally awarded the full award in both sections. My delight was tempered by the fact that despite me reaching the financial pinnacle and the assessor accepting my condition was only going to deteriorate the award was limited to a 3 year span and was to be reviewed again in August 2027 !
However the letter I received today has extended the award 3 years and 1 month to Sept. 2030, excellent news imo. Thank you 'Benefits & Work' for all you do and have done for both me and ALL members
