Hi,

I read last week in your online news Govt are asking for PIP claimants to volunteer in their workshop purporting to be consultation. However it's very limited in size and reach of demographics considering the size of the UK and Northern Ireland.

Today I read an external article published on FB news. The govt plan to roll out the small pilots of PIP assessments being carried out by non professionals e.g. they will be basically DWP/Civil Servants!! Seems like a cost cutting exercise if they get rid of all the contacts for health care assessments e.g. Capita, Igneous etc.
Surely both are a direct conflict of interest. That's like saying because I have a road vehicle driving licence I can also drive a train or fly an aeroplane.

How will both schemes reduce costs?
By taking the professional medical persons out of the equation. Cutting the number of medical diagnosis on the PIP register. Reverting the majority of people to first tier medical support GP's/pharmacists/physiotherapist. Redesigning the initial claim form/telephone claim form so less people pass this.

The backlog of claims will naturally increase for Mandatory considerations and tribunal appeals as it's not fair and reasonable justice to which people are entitled to.
I wonder what all our MP's have to say and if they know about the conflicting Worksop chats and pilot changes to be rolled out further.
