Cant find my post! was created by midnightvelvet
Hi everyone,
A couple of days ago, I made a post regarding a change of condition but I can't find it so I don't know if it's had any replies yet, hence I'm posting again.
I have been on PIP (DLA) since about 2005 and I have full mobility and standard care. AT the begining of June, I applied for a re-assessment on my care because my condition has worsened. I was refused but I have applied for a mandatory reconsideration because I don't think the decision is fair or that my condition was properly considered. When I telephoned to ask for the mandatory reconsideration, the girl that I spoke to asked me why I wanted it looked at again and I could hear loud clacking in the background like a very loud typewriter which is when I realised that this telephone conversation was going to be for the mandatory reconsideration, and I don't think I made a very good case for myself as I wasn't prepared. One of the reasons I gave was that the decision letter said that I didn't sound very anxious or tense during my telephone consultation - I didn't have a telephone consultation! When I said this to the person on the phone, she said "Well, I don't know why they said that".
A few days after that phone call, I received a letter confirming the telephone call but said that the Mandatory Consideration was for an application I made in FEBRUARY 2026!!! This makes me feel that it wasn't my application that the decision was based on! Should I tell them or just wait for the decision to be made (can take up to 15 weeks!) and if I'm refused again, save it for a tribunal? That said, if it goes to tribunal, I won't be able to attend as my medical assessments are done in my home as it's difficult for me to attend their office. Sorry for long post, but what would you advise, please?

Hi midnightvelver

A post doesn't appear until someone has the chance to approve and answer it. I answered your first post about this earlier today.
