sorry I'm kind of repeating a question here. What I want to know is an EA1 what the lima software report is or is it what you get if the doctor doesn't use the lima software or what. This is what they sent me when I asked for the lima software report. just checking they're not sending me something else less revealing and useful.

Hi anon22

The Lima report is an ESA85 medical report. I'm afraid I have never encountered an EA1. What does it contain?

Hi Alleyne

You are entitled to claim ESA at the assessment rate provided you continue to send in sick notes and appeal with the GL/24 form. Although it should not be necessary it is best to state on the GL/24 or accompanying letter that you wish to be paid at assessment rate pending appeal.

Good luck

Derek

well it appears that the doctor after looking at the state of me left to speak to a colleague and between them they decided that i was to be put in the exempt category on full ib (previously I was on ib/income sup. so now no more doctors notes). this is what is says on the EA1. but there are no points and almost no comments at all or anything apart from an improvement expected in a year. so I am thinking either no lima software was involved or he decided that I was so obviously a mess that there was not point in going through it?

I am not familiar with an EA1 and although I have searched the web using a variety of different search terms I cannot find it.

However, it is possible to be transferred from IB to ESA on the basis of what is already on file, and it is possible to be put in the support group without having a medical using Lima. An example of how this could happen would be if it became apparent to a decision maker or to an Atos HCP that a claimant's condition was such that they could not safely be considered fit for work, for example because of extreme suicidal urges.
