From WRAG to Support Group (ESA) was created by Eyupmiduck
Hi everyone, I haven't posted for a while but can I just ask something, please. Has any member been removed from the ESA Support Group to the WRAG, gone to appeal and has their Support Group status successfully reinstated?
I was taken out of the Support Group last July after my second annual ATOS medical. I put my appeal papers in in September 2010 and have heard nothing as yet.
I have just found out today, to my horror, that come April 2012, i.e. in less than a year, my ESA will stop, as it is contrubution based. This will be a significant chunk out of our income and will have a huge impact on our lives.
Basically, unless I can get back into the Support Group at appeal, in which case the ESA continues to be paid, that's me stuffed.
So really, I was just wondering if anyone had actually been through this process yet and had a successful outcome, specifically regaining their Support Group status.
Thank you in anticipation of any replies. x

Quick update - my appeal to get my Support Group status back will be heard on 15th August. Been refreshing my memory with the guides from this site today although I'm finding it very difficult to do anything due to the unbearable temperatures - heat and MS do not good bedfellows make!
Anyway, wish me luck and I'll let you know how I get on.

Make sure you are using the correct ESA guides as we now have two sets because of the changes to the ESA criteria in March this year.Quick update - my appeal to get my Support Group status back will be heard on 15th August.
