Fail to attend for medical. was created by Robbie
Ladies and Gents.
Your advice please.
I have really had enough of feeling ill all the time, perhaps a deafeatist attitude but its just the way I feel.
My medical conditions are well documented but I just dont want to go for yet another medical to be poked and prodded.
If I fail to attend my medical in the assessment phase, what are the most likely consequences.
Thank you

If you fail to attend the ESA medical, without good cause, then you will be found Fit for Work and your ESA will cease.

Is being too ill on that particular day regarded as good enough cause for those who have established variable conditions?

There is no specific definition of what constitutes Good Cause, however, the DWP should take into account the following when making a decision. Is being too ill on that particular day regarded as good enough cause for those who have established variable conditions?
