esa contributions and appeal

Can you clarify something for me. I received a letter stating that my esa cont. stops on 30th April, but I have not heard about a date for my appeal which was lodged in Dec.2011. Now that my money is stopping in April, will my appeal be cancelled, or will I still get a hearing, I have been in the wrag group.

Hi Gris, Your money will stop, so that there is no chance of overpayment, but your appeal will continue. If you are put in the support group then your money will be backdated.

Your appeal should continue regardless of ESA payments ending. If your appeal is allowed and results in you being placed in the support group you should be entitled to a back payment.
