Hi Just like to add to the good work that this site is doing.
I helped a friend fill in his form for DLA it came back rejected. I advised him to ask for a review and a copy of all papers ONE week later High Mobility and Low care
Great result.

Another friend was taken of ESA as ''she didn't reply to a letter sent'' Money stopped for 4 weeks took many phonecalls to say ''letter'' never received.
She had to go for an assessment 4 FLOORS UP when asked could she get down stairs in event of a fire (NO)she had to go home and wait for another appointment 30 miles away in another town as there was no facility for mobility impaired in the city

Unfortunately the ATOS department that books the medicals do not have access to the ESA50, except to note when you are available, and not always then, so they take little notice of whether the claimant is able to to actually get into the assessmnet centre.

I hope your friend had all their travelling expenses re-paid, and they would be entitled to make a complaint to ATOS.
